…as diocesans react
A major reorganizational tsunami has hit the Nigeria Anglican Communion, Ekiti Diocese owing to compulsory redeployment of top echelon priests.
Roundoffnews gathered that about least 85 per cent of the clergies were affected by the mass transfer to new parishes which was carried out by the new bishop of the diocese, Rt. Revd. Andrew Olusola Ajayi.
This development was commended by many members of the church.
According to reports, some of those affected by the transfer have been in one station and office for upward of 15 years while some had spent between five and 10 years.
It was learnt that the Bishop embarked on the action to bring sanity and allow those moved to face fresh challenges which is quite healthy for the body of Christ.
Reports from various stations said that those transferred were received with joy by the parishioners who praised the bishop for bringing new people to administer their parishes.
They promised their absolute cooperation with the new helmsmen and expressed the hope that the development will engender great revival in the church.
