LP disagree on Continuing Obi’s Case as APC plot to Exploits Weakness

By Udesinanna Stephen

Following the crisis rocking the Labour Party Chairmanship decisions on continuing it legal pursuit of the 2023 Presidential elections, the Chief Spokesperson to the All Progressive Congress Presidential Campaign,
Festus Keyamo, SAN said the first argument in court may be who is the real Chairman of Labour Party so as to continue or discontinue its case.

Keyamo said this today on his verified Twitter handle, @fkeyamo adding, that should be the first matter to settle.

In his words “This is getting interesting; the first argument in court may be who is the real Chairman of Labour Party so as to have the authority to decide over the continuation of the case!”.

Lately, the Labour Party has been disunited with two Chairman in one party, this was revealed following the Chairman, Lamidi-Apapa led faction who has approached tribunals seeking the withdrawal of all cases involving the party’s presidential candidate, Peter Obi.

Obi is challenging the 2023 general elections that led to the emergence of the Presidential Candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Bola Ahmed Tinubu as President-Elect.

The Apapa-faction believe that the case in the court has no stand and it opposes the party’s interest.

Although, the LP Chairman, Julius Abure-led faction has condemned the act and distanced its faction from the action of discontinuing the legal battle.
