LGBTQ: Man Declared Wanted in Ekiti, Southwest Nigeria

The Nigerian Police, Ekiti State Command has declared Mr. Ojo Muyiwa Johnson
who is said to be residing at 4.
Oke Street, Iyin-Ekiti, Ekiti State wanted for his involvement in the act of homosexuality with his same sex partner.

The decision of the police which is contained in a statement made available to newsmen was sequel to a formal report by people of his community who detest his lifestyle and had warned him many times to desist.

If arrested, Ojo Muyiwa Johnson risks fourteen years in prison with severe punishment as contained in the same sex law of the country.

Information gathered revealed that Ojo Muyiwa Johnson has been in the act of homosexuality for more than 5years and the Community Development Association of his area has often advised him to desist from this act which he declined.

According to police statement, Ojo Muyiwa Johnson has been caught several times with his partner in the act of homosexual practices in his residence an act the police confirmed is punishable under the law.

has summoned him several times to the community meeting to ask him to desist from this act, which they claimed is inimical to his personal and spiritual growth.

The police urged any one with useful information that can lead to his arrest to notify the command adding that government would reward such person
