LEAGUE OF WOMEN VOTERS HAILS APPOINTMENT OF MEMBER AS PROGRESS FM GM

The league of Women Voters of Nigeria, (NILOWV), Ekiti State Chapter has congratulated its Public Relations Officer, Dr Mrs Adebola Agbaje over her elevation to the post of the General Manager of Radio Nigeria Progress FM, Ado Ekiti.

This is contained in a statement signed by the chairperson of the organization, Mrs Olufunke Martins-Adetoye in Ado Ekiti.

Mrs Martins-Adetoye noted that the leadership and members of the group were indeed happy at the elevation of Dr. Mrs Agbaje describing the development as a plus to them and the women folk in Ekiti.

She Prayed God to grant the new GM the wisdom, Knowledge and understanding to make the right decisions that will enable the station sustain it’s leading role in the state.

The (NILOWV) Chairperson expressed confidence in the ability of Dr. Mrs Agbaje to remodel the station and take it to a greater height being a thoroughbred professional.

Mrs Martins-Adetoye appreciated the management of Radio Nigeria for considering a woman for such exalted position .

She Promised the readiness of the organization to rally round the new GM towards achieving success in the new task.

Aside being the PRO, Dr. Mrs Agbaje  is also a member of the National Publicity committee of NILOWV
and the State Programme officer of NILOWV

The League of Women Voters of Nigeria (NILOVW), is an all-female organization founded in 1986 by Dr Esther Uduehi following the end of the fourth World Conference on Women in Beijing, China, in 1985, to help women play a larger role in Government and Public Affairs in Nigeria in consonance with the Beijing Declaration and the Platform for Action. It was incorporated in October, 1988 as a Non-Partisan, non-Religious, non-Sectional, non-tribal, non-Sectarian and non-Profit Civic Organization with the aim of Empowering women Voters in particular and Defending Democracy. The League is committed to attract to herself all females from the age of 18years and above to enlighten and educate them on their civic rights and duties within the context of Nigeria and the power of their vote in building a better life and society, not only for the women but also for every Nigerian and the society.
