…calls for construction of roads linking Ekiti with other states
It was a moment of glitz and glamour on Friday as the African Democratic Congress (ADC) gubernatorial aspirant in Ekiti State and former Secretary to the State Government, Ambassador Dare Bejide celebrated its 66th birthday in grand style.
The birthday party, which converged friends, families and political loyalists from home and outside the country, took place in Ado-Ekiti, the state capital.
Speaking with journalists, Ambassador Bejide, who couldn’t hide his joy, appreciated God for the gifts of life, adding that each year added to his age is a reminder that he has a lot to offer the good people of Ekiti.

He urged Ekiti residents to take their destiny in their hands by voting for the right candidate and not be blindfolded by the fairy tales of the current political dispensation.
He said, “I am 66 years old now and I feel that there are so much that I can do to impact the lives of the people particularly the youth and women because they are the most vulnerable in the state”.
Roundoffnews recalled that the Peoples Democratic Movement Caucus within the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Ekiti State, had earlier unanimously endorsed him as its preferred governorship aspirant for the forthcoming election in the state.
The endorsement was announced on Thursday during a strategic meeting held in Ado-Ekiti with ward members, which converged hundreds of supporters across the 16 local government areas of the state.
In his acceptance, Bejide reiterated his commitment to tackling poverty and promoting inclusive economic development in Ekiti State, outlining his plans to drive job creation, support small businesses and encourage self-employment among residents if elected.
He further pledged to create an enabling environment that allows residents to maximize their potential by participating in a people-oriented and inclusive government.
