Joint Security Committee in Emure, Ise/Orun, Ikere Hails Security Agencies, Oyebanji Over Rescue of Kidnapped Children

…commiserates with family of slained driver

The Joint Security Committee in Emure, Ise/Orun and Ikere has expressed gladness over the release of the kidnapped school Children and their teachers along Emure – Eporo Road.

The Chairman of the Committee, Elder Tunji Falana thanked the Elemure of Emure Ekiti, Oba Emmanuel Adebayo, Local and LCDA Chairmen as wel as all the Security Outfits including Police, Amotekun, Local Hunters that participated in the bush combing to ensure safety of the victims.

The JSC chairman, however, sympathized with the family of the driver, who was killed by the abductors and commiserated them.

He specifically appreciated Ekiti State Governor, Biodun Oyebanji, for the role that he played since Monday when the incident occured, saying the governor’s efforts culminated in the release of the abductees on Sunday morning.

The JSC chairman also thanked the traditional rulers in the neighbouring communities for their solidarity and support in ensuring return of the kidnapped persons.

Elder Falana expressed hope that the promise of the police and the security agencies to continue the search with a view to arrest the kidnappers and make them face the law was laudable, saying the wish of all is an Ekiti free from crime, criminals and criminalities.

He thanked people of Emure, Eporo Ekiti and indeed Ekiti State for their prayers and support to the families and communities.
