The Chairman of the Joint Negotiation Council (JNC) in Ekiti State, Femi Ajoloko, has congratulated Governor Biodun Oyebanji on his re-election in the recently concluded governorship election, describing the victory as a reflection of the people’s confidence in his administration.
Ajoloko, who is also the chairman of the Joint Health Sector Unions (JOHESU) in Ekiti, said the governor’s overwhelming victory at the polls was well deserved considering his administration’s commitment to workers’ welfare, inclusive governance and sustained development across the state.
In a congratulatory message made available to journalists, the labour leader noted that Oyebanji’s first term was marked by policies that prioritised the welfare of civil servants and health workers, adding that the governor had consistently demonstrated sensitivity to the needs of workers and the general populace.
According to him, NJC, JOHESU and other organised labour groups in the state have enjoyed a cordial relationship with the Oyebanji administration, which has translated into improved working conditions and industrial harmony within the health sector.
He expressed optimism that the governor’s second term would usher in more developmental projects and reforms that would further improve the living standards of Ekiti residents.
Ajoloko assured the governor of the continued support and cooperation of JOHESU and other labour unions in the state, stressing that organised labour remains committed to partnering with the government to advance quality healthcare delivery and socio-economic development.
He urged the governor to sustain his people-centred approach to governance and continue to prioritise workers’ welfare, infrastructural development and investment in the health sector.
“On behalf of the Joint Health Sector Unions (JOHESU) and the Joint Negotiation Council, I heartily congratulate Governor Biodun Oyebanji on his well-deserved re-election as Governor of Ekiti State.
“This victory is a testament to the trust and confidence the people of Ekiti State repose in his leadership and the remarkable achievements recorded during his first term. His administration has remained workers-friendly and has consistently shown commitment to the welfare of civil servants and health workers” Ajoloko added.
