Adherents of Islamic faith have been called upon to intensify prayers for peace and progress of Nigeria and Ekiti State in particular even after the end of Ramadan.
The Ewi of Ado-Ekiti, Oba Adeyemo Adejugbe III made the call while congratulating Muslim for the peaceful completion of this year’s Id-el-fitri
He enjoined Muslims to always be their brother’s keeper, promote unity and cohesion as it was during the fasting period, in whatever they do as well as to live in harmony with other fellow Nigerians in fulfilment of the commandment of Allah.
According to him, the Teachings and lessons of the Holy Prophet Mohammed are clear on peaceful co-existence, faithfulness, sacrifice and total submission to the will of Allah.
The monarch therefore urged Muslim faithfuls to imbibe the spirit of love and unity to ensure the prosperity of the country.
Oba Adejugbe called for more prayers during this season to grant the leaders at both the state and the nation the wisdom needed to fix the country and make the inhabitants rejoice.
