INSECURITY: EKITI NUJ TO HOLD PUBLIC LECTURE

Amidst rising concerns on the state of security in the country, the Ekiti State Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) has scheduled a public lecture to be held on Thursday 4th April, 2024.

According to a statement by the Secretary of the Union, O’Seun Ogunsakin, the public lecture which is titled ‘Breaking the Barriers to a Secured Society’ will be held at the Sanni Abacha Hall, Old Governor’s Office Ado Ekiti.

Ogunsakin said the security lecture will be delivered by the Southwest coordinator of the Commander, Amotekun Corps, Ondo State Command, Mr. Adetunji Adeleye and Dr Olusola Moka of the Federal University, Oye Ekiti.

The Union’s Scribe disclosed that participants expected at the events include Governor Biodun Oyebanji of Ekiti State, Security chiefs in the State, Local Government chairmen, Traditional Rulers and other critical stakeholders.

While assuring that the event would equip participants with security tips, ogunsakin urged Nigerians to attend the programme at 10:00 in the morning.
