Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike, has stated that he will not flee Nigeria out of fear of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) after his tenure expires on May 29.
Wike said that he would willingly comply with the EFCC if they invite him after his tenure. He made the comment in response to the EFCC Chairman’s statement that the agency will arrest corrupt governors whose terms end on May 29.
Wike stated that he will not run away from Nigeria as some ex-governors have done in the past.
