… canvases votes for segun Oni
A stallwart of the Social Democratic party SDP, Hon Akin Ogidi has formally declared his intentions to contest for Federal House of Representatives in Ekiti South Constituency 2 on the platform of the party.
Declaring his intention In Omuo, EKITI East, Agbado Gbonyin and Emure local government, Hon Akin Ogidi sought the support and guidance of the party leaders in the Local Governments for his ambition with a promise to serve them better.
The former Gbonyin local government boss noted that he would not disappoint the constituency if given the opportunity and promised all inclusive government.
He noted that, if elected for he would use his position as green chamber member to facilitate infrastructure and job opportunities for members of the council areas.
He however condemned the destruction of Chief segun Oni’s posters and bill boards in some towns.
Hon. Ogidi used the gathering to mobilize support for the emergence of the SDP governorship candidate, Chief Segun Oni during the June 18 governorship election State.
Hon. Ogidi explained that their votes for chief Segun would bring development, dividend of democracy and good governance to the state.
In their remarks, some of the chieftains of SDP in the council areas including, Chief Ayo Peters expressed confidence in Hon. Ogidi due to his antecedent and council boss and prayed God to grant his heart desires.
The leaders appologised on the destruction of the posters and bill board, saying necessary steps would be taken to prevent such in future time .
