IKOGOSI WARM SPRINGS, SMOKIN’ HILLS GOLF RESORT SEAL STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIP TO BOOST NIGERIA’S TOURISM

In a major boost for domestic tourism in the South-West, two of Nigeria’s leading leisure destinations, Ikogosi Warm Springs Resort in Ekiti State and Smokin’ Hills Golf Resort in Ilara-Mokin, Ondo State have formalised a strategic partnership to offer tourists a combined getaway experience.

The partnership, facilitated through Glocient Hospitality a subsidiary of Cavista Holdings managers of Ikogosi Resort, was officially sealed on Thursday, October 9, 2026, at Smokin’ Hills Golf Resort, Ilara-Mokin.

Under the agreement, the two resorts, located about one hour apart by road, will now offer visitors a single itinerary that connects the natural wonders of Ikogosi famous for its unique warm and cold springs with the world-class golfing and recreational facilities of Smokin’ Hills, one of Nigeria’s finest 18-hole championship golf courses.

The deal was signed by Mr. Lanre Balogun General Manager of Glocient Hospitality, Chief Michael Ade-Ojo, Chairman of Smokin’ Hills Golf Resort, Elizade University and Elizade Nigeria Limited, and other top executives.

Speaking at the signing, Mr. Lanre Balogun said the collaboration is aimed at giving tourists more reasons to travel, stay longer, and experience more.

He said:“This partnership is about giving our guests more reasons to travel, stay longer and experience the best of what our destinations have to offer. By connecting Ikogosi’s unique natural attractions and hospitality with the golfing experience at Smokin’ Hills, we are creating a more complete getaway for individuals, families and corporate groups.
“We see significant opportunities to grow tourism, attract new visitors and create lasting value for both destinations and their surrounding communities,” Balogun said.

Also speaking, Professor Oguntunde expressed optimism that the partnership would unlock new business opportunities and drive greater social and economic engagement across the two states.
