PDP Candidate for Rep, Ekiti South Federal Constituency 1, in the last National Assembly Elections, Engr. Henrich Bankole Akomolafe has expressed his condolences to the people of Ekiti State, most especially Ikere, his hometown following the unfortunate robbery incident that occurred on Wednesday
In his statement, the Ikere born politician extended his sympathies to the entire community, urging the security agencies to apprehend the criminals responsible for the heinous act.
Engr. Akomolafe described the incident as a rude shock to him, as he called for prayers for the immediate family of the victims for them to have the necessary fortitude to bear the great loss.
“I was sad and extremely shocked upon receiving the news, of criminal elements and enemies of Progress. He said.
However, the robbers were said to have carted away an unspecified amount of money after operating for about 40 minutes.
The robbers left several dead, including security operatives and officers attached to the affected banks.
The incidents caused huge stirs in the town as residents, particularly youths, were seen running helter skelter for dear lives.
