…promises to do more to support goverment of Biodun Oyebanji
A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, APC from Agbado Ekiti, Mr. Olalekan Ijidale has again awarded scholarship to two students of the Peace and Joy Group of Schools, Ikere-Ekiti throughout their Higher Education.
This is in addition to the two students earlier awarded same scholarship last year by Mr. Ijidale.
The benefiting students are Apalara Silas and Olu Akanbi Henry who will have their tuition fees paid irrespective of their course of study in the university.
Speaking during the End of the Year Party of the school, Mr. Ijidale who is the Secretary, Ekiti State Appointment Committee, said he decided to award additional students because he was impressed by the performance of the first awardees at their various tertiary institutions
According to him, the two students who won the last scholarship, Samuel Ajayi and Eunice Peke made very impressive grade in their first year in the university.
Ijidale who is the Special Guest if Honour on the occassion, noted that about fifteen students are currently on his scholarship list, with a promise to do more in order to complement the efforts of Governor Biodun Oyebanji towards producing more scholars that will make Ekiti proud in the future.
He said:” I am doing this from the little God has given me, I wish I can do more for indigent but brilliant students.
“The best ward to encourage reading culture among our youths is to encourage those who are doing well, I know that many students will work hard this time around to win the next award.
“I have many students on my scholarship Foundation, I hope to still have more because I believe that some of this students will grow to become great peoeple in the society and they will be able to touch other lives and give back to Ekiti.
Earlier, the parents of the benefiting students and the school management showered encomium on Mr. Ijidale and prayed God to continue to grant his heart desires.
