A foremost grassroots politician, Hon. Idowu Iranlade Popoola has formally declared his intention to contest for the Ekiti North Federal Constituency 2 seat under the platform of the All Progressives Congress, APC.
His formal declaration, over the weekend, at his ward in Otun-Ekiti, Moba local government, received strong acceptance across communities within the constituency.
Popoola, whose campaign agenda is on “Return of a New Era” and “A New Dawn for our People” said that his interest was borne out of a genuine desire to deliver dividends of democracy to his people.
He revealed plans to prioritize the interest of his constituents and people-focused leadership at the national level stressing that he will deliver sustainable development across the constituency.
The renowned grassroots politician assured his constituents of his resolve attract investments, maximize the agricultural potential of the area and reduce unemployment among the youth.
He assured party faithful and constituents that his ambition will not be self-centred but driven by service, development and effective legislation.
The aspirant later paid homage to the Oore of Otun, Oba where he received royal blessings and support for his ambition.
