The tenth coronation anniversary of Ochidoma Agabaidu one of Ekiti State, Otache Oyigoche has commenced with visits to palaces of prominent traditional rulers across Ekiti State.
The Ochidoma accompanied by Idoma leaders from the sixteen local governments of Ekiti State paid homage to the palaces of Ogoga of Ikere Ekiti, Oba Adejimi Adu, Arajaka of Igbara Odo, Oba Edward Jaiyeola and that of the Onijan of Ijan Ekiti, Oba Adebanji Aladesuyi.
The visit was part of activities lined up to celebrate the tenth Years coronation of Ochidoma Agabaidu of Idoma people living in Ekiti State.
Speaking during the visit to the palaces of the traditional rulers, the Ochidoma of Idoma people living in Ekiti State, Otache Oyigocho expressed gratitude to the communities for relating with his people peacefully, saying many of them have established families in Ekiti state and thanked the host towns for the warm reception.
The Ochidoma also urged host communities to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities to security agencies in order to maintain peace and security, saying the festivities underscore the deep integration and unity of Idoma people living in Ekiti State and their commitment to peaceful coexistence as well as community development.
In thier separate remarks, Ogoga of Ikere Ekiti, Oba Adejimi Adu, Arajaka of Igbara Odo Ekiti, Oba Edward Jaiyeola and Onijan of Ijan Ekiti, Oba Adebanji Aladesuyi welcomed the delegation warmly and expressed delight at the growth of the Idoma people living in Ekiti.
They commended the contributions of Idoma people to food production and security, saying they were hardworking and dedicated to their jobs.
The anniversary celebrations will continue with a Jumat prayer scheduled for Friday at Iludun, main celebration will take place at Eureka Playground, Ado Ekiti, while thanksgiving service will hold on Sunday at St. Patrick Anglican Church and St. James Catholic Church, Ado Ekiti
