The Commissioner of Police in Ekiti State, C.P Joseph Eribo has called on men and officers of the command to operate with decency and professionalism irrespective of the situation.
CP Eribo who made the call while rounding off his familiarization tour of Area Commands in Ekiti State, affirmed that the command under his watch would not tolerate any act of indiscipline or attitude that could tarnish the image of the police.
While restating the commitment of the command to effective policing, the CP sought the cooperation of community stakeholders.

According to him, the police need the cooperation of stakeholders to access vital information needed to curb crime and criminality in the state adding that most people shy away from disclosing the identity of criminals in their environment due to fear.
He asserted that such disposition would create avenue for perpetrators to continue in their criminal act which would effect the safety of every individual in the state.
CP Eribo said that Ekiti is adjudge one of the peaceful states in the country as a result of the collective work of every individual, hence, the need to support security agencies to ensure that they carry out their duties without bias.
On his part, the Assistant Superintendent of Police Ado Area Command, Shittu Bolanle noted that the visit was a morale booster for the police on behalf of the officers to give their best in the fight against crime in the state.

Reacting to the visit, some stakeholders representing the Yoruba, Igbo and Hausa communities promised their support to the force in combating crime within the state.
The Global Support for Kids Initiative, a Non-Governmental Organization also pledged her support to the force in probing crime especially as it concerns Children.
