Hundreds of youths under the aegis of “BAO Youth Ambassador” on Sunday trooped out in their large number to declare their support for the second term ambition of Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji of Ekiti State.
At a brief ceremony held at the Ekiti Parapo Pavilion, Fajuyi Ado Ekiti, the youths drawn from across the sixteen local government areas of the state chanted various songs in praises of the Governor.
The venue was laced with various large format banners with different inscriptions bearing their thoughts and affirmation of the Governor.
Leader of the group, Sola Adeniji aka Solar said the endorsement was a unanimous decision among the youths aimed at showing gratitude to the Governor for all he has done for them irrespective of differences.
Adeniji said:”BAO has demonstrated an act of OMOLUWABI by ensuring a government of inclusiveness in Ekiti State. The street is for the good, the bad and the ugly. We are all products of the society, it is only appropriate for leaders to recognise this, extend hands of fellowship to us and make us also feel loved.
“BAO, being a home grown Governor, took advantage of this and made us feel loved and cherished. On this note. I hereby stand before you today, on behalf of ALL OF US ON THE STREET (THE BAO YOUTH AMBASSADORS GBOGBO ILE LAPAPO) to express our wholehearted support for GOVERNOR BIODUN ABAYOMI OYEBANJI (BAO) FOR SECOND TERM COMMENCING OCTOBER 2026 TO OCTOBER 2030.
“As someone who deeply values relationships, inclusiveness, openness and good governance, we are very sure that BAO is all Ekiti Kete needs to make a meaningful impact at a time like this.
“We have no doubt in our minds that if he is given a second term, the dividends of democracy that we have all craved for will no doubt get to the doorstep of us all. In times like these, we need leaders who are nat just capable but also deeply committed to the well-being of all without any demarcation.”
Also speaking, a member of the group, from Iyin Ekiti Adedoyin Oguntoyimbo said Oyebanji has been very accessible to youths and had introduced different impactful policies and programmes that had made life better for all.
She urged the leadership of the All Progressives Congress APC to ensure that Oyebanji gets the second term ticket on the premise that he has represented the party well
On his part, Folorunso Ajayi from Ijero Local Government noted that the youths have never had it so good like this, adding that Oyebanji gave them sense of belonging and platform for a better future.
Babalola Taofik from Ikere Ekiti was not left out as showered encomium on the Governor for the successes recorded so far in the areas of infrastructure, education, health, agriculture and human capital development.
