HEALTH COMMISSIONER MEETS C-19RM/RSSH ADVOCACY GROUP, RESTATES EKITI GOVERNMENT’S COMMITMENT TO UPGRADE OF HEALTH FACILITIES

The Commissioner for Health, Ekiti State, Dr Oyebanji Filani  has restated  government’s committment towards upgrading the primary health care facilities across the state for improved  service delivery.

He stated this while receiving the C-19RM/RSSH Advocacy Group in his office in Ado Ekiti.

The group through its spokesperson, Sir, Olu Ogunrotimi had tabled some areas of concern such as shortage of staff, LGAs/LCDAs collecting returns from BHCs and non payment of the benefits of  C-19 vaccinators

Addressing members of the team, the commissiner appreciated them for their efforts at improving health care delivery in the state saying he had be briefed on their strides.

He explained that all concerns raised would be looked into soon.

In his words, “Speaking on staff shortage, the government is working on it to make sure that everything is in order.

“In fact, the Governor has set up a Committee to look into the issue of Primary Health Care Centres.

“Concerning the issue of LGAs/LCDAs demanding returns from the facilities, I will contact the concerned stakeholders for immediate solution.

“Concerning the workers of COVID-19 vaccination team who are yet to be paid, we will look into the accounts and rectify the pending issues.” He said
