Groups pressurizes Hon. Joseph Adu to re-contest for Emure Local government Chairmanship position.

…commends his good governance in first term in office

Leadership and members of NURTW, NUT, Okada Riders , Iyalojas, BFD and JKF disciples for BAO have appealled to the current Chairman of Emure local Government, Hon Joseph Adu to re-contest for chairmanship position in the forthcoming local government election slated for December this year in Ekiti State.

The unions leaders who made the appeal during a meeting held in Emure Ekiti explained that such became necessary due to the outstanding performances of the chairman during his first term

Speaking during the meeting which attracted thousand of people in Emure Ekiti, the Iyaloja of Emure Ekiti, Chief Cecilia Oladele said Hon. Adu was able to touch the life of residents of the council area through provision of some basic amenities and empowerment programme for youths and women.

The Iyaloja promised to mobilise all the market women for him during the December local government election to ensure that he emerge for second term.

Also, the NULGE Chairman in the Local Government, Prince Ademola Ogunsina and his counterpart from NUT, Mr Adeola J.A commended the disposition of the chairman to the welfare of the council workers, hence the need for the call to contest during the next poll.

On his own, the Chairman Okada Riders Association in the council area, Mr Muyiwa Ajayi and that of the NURTW, Mr Hassan Azeez called on the stakeholders in Emure Ekiti to join hands and support Hon. Adu to return for another term in order for residents to enjoy more dividends of good governance as he did during his first term.

In their submissions, the BFD Chairman, Hon Dare Famodimu and Chairman of JKF Disciples for BAO, Hon Ademola Adegoke noted that re-election of Hon. Adu should be the responsibility of all residents of Emure Ekiti and called on APC leaders in the town to endorse him for second term.
