Governor Oyebanji Resumes, Inspects Projects Across Ekiti After Annual Leave

Ekiti State Governor, Mr. Biodun Oyebanji, resumed official duties on Monday after a two-week annual leave, kicking off with a four-hour inspection tour of major projects across the state.

The Governor visited key project sites to assess the pace and quality of work and engaged contractors as well as officials of relevant Ministries, Departments and Agencies.

Projects inspected include the newly acquired Ground Handling Equipment and the Aviation Fuel Dump under construction at the Ekiti Agro-Allied Airport; the new 80-bed medical facility at the Ekiti State University Teaching Hospital, EKSUTH; the reconstruction of the Adekunle Fajuyi Memorial Park in Ado-Ekiti and the new Ekiti State High Court Complex.

Speaking after the tour, Governor Oyebanji expressed satisfaction with the level of work and reiterated his administration’s commitment to timely delivery of ongoing projects and the flag-off of new ones under its Shared Prosperity Agenda.

He noted that direct oversight by the Chief Executive, alongside monitoring by MDAs, remains central to ensuring quality project execution.

Governor Oyebanji, who was re-elected for a second term on June 20, is scheduled for inauguration on October 16. The ceremony will be the first time a governor in Ekiti will be sworn in for two consecutive terms.
