Why Governor Oyebanji approves salary increment for Health Workers in Ekiti – Seluwa

The Executive Secretary, Ekiti State Primary Health Care Development Agency Dr. Ayodele Seluwa said Ekiti State Governor, Biodun Oyebanji has graciously increased the health salary structure called CONHESS to 100% and hazard allowance from 72% to 90%.

According to him, its part of his efforts to encourage the health workers at the Primary Health Care level for effective job delivery.

Seluwa, who disclosed this during a sensitization/health outreach program called Ulerawa at Ise-Ekiti in Ise/Orun Local Government said the governor is determined to make sure free healthcare is accessible to all Ekiti people, especially people at the grassroots.

He assured Ekiti people that Governor Oyebanji is doing everything possible to improve the health care delivery in Ekiti State.

While addressing the people that assembled at Arinjale’s palace, Seluwa called on the people to go to the nearest health facility to register with Ekiti State Health Insurance Scheme (EKHIS), an initiative of Ekiti State Government for affordable quality healthcare.

He further stated that the Health Insurance Scheme is now active and available for all, adding that Ekiti people will not need to go bankrupt or seek unsafe modes of healthcare due to poverty.

Some of the beneficiaries who spoke with Roundoffnews thanked Governor Oyebanji for the initiative and promised unalloyed support for his government.

Services available for beneficiaries include Maternal Healthcare, child health care, malaria treatment and other diseases, free Hiv test, free drugs, among others.
