Minister of Defence, Gen. Christopher Musa (retd), has revealed how what he described as divine intervention altered the course of his life at a time he believed powerful forces were working against him.
Musa said God elevated him when the odds appeared stacked against him and when some people thought his story was over.
He shared the testimony during a recent church service at Conquerors Global Assembly in Abuja, which was monitored by Church Times and later circulated on social media.
The minister attended the service with his wife, where he expressed appreciation to the church’s founder, Bishop David Abioye, and his wife, and prayed for the continued growth of the ministry.

Addressing the congregation, Musa urged Nigerians not to lose hope, stressing that faith remains a source of strength in difficult times. “We serve a living God. He will never give up on us,” he said.
He also warned against constantly portraying Nigeria in a negative light, arguing that such narratives do more harm than good. “If you continue to talk down on your country, you don’t mean well,” the minister cautioned.
Musa further challenged Christians to live out the values they profess, noting that real influence comes from action, not words.
President Bola Tinubu, on December 2, nominated Musa as Minister of Defence after his tenure as Chief of Defence Staff. The nomination, conveyed in a letter to Senate President Godswill Akpabio, followed the resignation of Mohammed Badaru on health grounds. Tinubu said he was confident Musa would strengthen Nigeria’s security architecture.
