It was indeed a black Monday in Gwom Nding village, Barkin Ladi local government area of
Plateau State as armed Fulani herdsmen invaded the Christ the Redeemer School where two staff members were killed and several other persons seriously injured.
The attacked school was recently established by the Redeemed Christian Church of God, RCCG, with the aim of propagating the gospel of Christ and exposing children to western education.
This development seems not to rest well with the Muslim extremists, hence the launch of the brutal attack as part of their move to wipe out Christians from the community

Our correspondent gathered that the armed Fulani herdsmen came when the staff members were preparing to hold the crossover service.
According to witnesses, the Head of the School, Ogunrinde Olufunbi Ojo narrowly escaped death as he and the pastor were said to have hidden somwhere in the store of the Parish house.
However, it was confirmed that during the attack, some of the terrorists went to the house of the Head teacher and abducted his mother and set the two vehicles of the school parked in front of his house on fire.
In an interview, the Head of the school, Ogunrinde Ojo alleged that the Fulani herdsmen had sent several threat messages to him calling for the closure of the school or he would pay with his life.
He said, within a few months of the establishment of the school, parents have continued to enroll their children and all academic activities were going on smoothly before the dastardly attack.
He said:””When they came, they were shouting, Where is Master, “Ka keshe Shi” meaning, kill the master. The attempt is to behead me but God protected me
Ogunrinde Ojo condemned the attack, saying every Nigerian should be allowed to have access to education and belong to any religion of their choice.
The teacher who was in tears pleaded with the bandits to release his mother unhurt.
Meanwhile, Some Civil Society Organisations and Christian bodies have condemned the act but government is yet to make official statement.
