Fuel Subsidy: FG backed out for Fear of protests says Shehu Sani

Senator Shehu Sani has reacted to the Federal Government, FG, postponement of subsidy removal stating that the President, Muhammadu Buhari backed out for fear of protests and strikes.

He stated this recently via his Official Twitter Account @ShehuSani where he also asserted that the postponement was deliberately designed to be dealt with by the incoming government .

He said, “Subsidy removal, Buhari back-pedalled out of fear of protests and strikes.He left it to the Jagaban to deal with the problem.”

Also, reacting to the $800 million loan borrowed from World Bank for the subsidy, Senator Shehu tasked Federal Government on the safety of the loan.

He said, “Now that Subsidy will not be removed, please that $800 million borrowed from the World Bank for the purpose should be kept safe.”
