Personnel of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Ekiti State Sector Command, have commenced palliative repairs on a failed portion of the Ado-Ekiti–Ikere-Ekiti road as part of efforts to improve road safety and ease movement of motorists.
The exercise, carried out on Friday, September 18, 2026, is aimed at addressing the immediate danger posed by the deteriorated section of the road while complementing ongoing efforts by the Ekiti State Government to keep major roads across the state motorable.
In a statement in Ado Ekiti, the Sector Commander, FRSC Ekiti State Command, CC Sanya Adeoye, said the intervention underscored FRSC’s proactive approach to road safety and its commitment to partnering with relevant authorities to reduce hazards on the state’s roads.
He said the efforts were in line with the FRSC’s vision of creating a safe motoring environment towards achieving zero road traffic crashes.
