First Lady of Nigeria and National Chairman of the Renewed Hope Initiative (RHI), Senator Oluremi Tinubu, will be in Ekiti State on Saturday, May 30, 2026, for a one-day working visit focused on education, traditional leadership, and women’s political mobilization.
The announcement was made by Yinka Oyebode, Special Adviser to the Governor on Media.
Senator Tinubu will arrive in Ado-Ekiti alongside several state First Ladies and senior officials. She will be received by Ekiti State Governor Biodun Oyebanji, First Lady Dr. Olayemi Oyebanji, and other top state officials.
The centerpiece of the visit is the commissioning of a newly built ICT Centre at Ekiti State University, Ado-Ekiti. The facility was facilitated by the Renewed Hope Initiative as part of its push to expand digital access for students and young people in the state.
After the commissioning, the First Lady will meet with members of the Ekiti State Traditional Rulers’ Council. The engagement with the Obas is expected to address community development and the role of traditional institutions in supporting government programs.
Later in the day, Senator Tinubu will flag off the All Progressives Congress (APC) Women Campaign Rally for Governor Oyebanji’s re-election at the Ekiti Parapo Pavilion, Ado-Ekiti. The rally is aimed at galvanizing women voters ahead of the 2026 Ekiti governorship election.
Ekiti First Lady Dr. Olayemi Oyebanji said arrangements are in place to make the visit memorable, adding that the state is ready to host the First Lady and her entourage.
