Federal Poly Ado-Ekiti Rector Distributes Food Items to Children Correctional Centre, Orphanage Home in Ekiti

The Rector of the Federal Polytechnic Ado-Ekiti, Engr. Temitope John Alake, on Thursday, distributed food items to Children’s Correctional Centre and Orphanage Home in Ekiti State.

The presentation of the food items were part of activities marking the Rector’s one year in office.

Leading the delegation of top management of the institution to the Ekiti State Children’s Correctional Centre in Ado-Ekiti, Engr. Alake said the gesture is part of their Corporate Social Responsibility.

He noted that such gesture will mark the beginning of greater things from the institution to assist and support the homes.

His words: “In line with the Corporate Social Responsibility focus of the Federal Polytechnic Ado-Ekiti to the host community and also as part of activities marking the one year in office of the administration of the Rector, the management of the institution is pleased to present the food items to the homes.

“It is our believe that the little we have brought will go a long way in assisting the homes in taking care of its inhabitants.”

Receiving the food items, the Warden of the Ekiti State Children’s Correctional Centre, Oladele Olatunji appreciated the institution for the kind gesture while soliciting more donations.

On her part, Matron of Erelu Adebayo Children’s Home, Iyin-Ekiti, Modupe Ajayi showered encomiums on the school management saying that such gesture is unprecedented owing to the harsh economic realities in the country.

The food items distributed to the Ekiti State Children’s Correctional Centre includes; 2 bags of rice, half bag of beans, five packs of spaghetti, 10 packs of noodles, 1 gallon of vegetable oil and 25 litres of oil.

In the same vein, the Erelu Adebayo Children’s Home, Iyin-Ekiti received the following items; 2 bags of rice, half bag of beans, 5 packs of spaghetti, 10 packs of noodles, 1 gallon of vegetable oil, 6 pieces of vegetable oil, and 25 litres of soap.
