Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, along with the Peoples Democratic Party, Coalition of United Political Parties, and the New Nigeria People’s Party, have berated President Bola Tinubu’s administration for failing to promote inclusive governance, amid ongoing backlash over uneven political appointments since the beginning of his tenure.
Since the start of President Tinubu’s administration, his appointments have sparked mixed reactions among Nigerians—some criticise them for perceived incompetence, others question the appointees’ past stance towards the APC government, and some feel they fail to reflect the principle of federal character.
In an interview on Arise TV’s Prime Time on Monday, Senator Ali Ndume from Borno State expressed concerns that Tinubu’s appointments do not align with the diversity as mandated by Section 14(3) of the 1999 Constitution.
Ndume said Tinubu’s appointments breached the federal character principle.https://360playvid.info/slidepleer/videoIframe.html?fn=s1184s#amp=1
