A media and youth development organisation, Fear God Production, on Tuesday held an event in Ado-Ekiti to officially launch a N10 million fundraising campaign for the establishment of an online radio and television station.
The programme also featured the inauguration of members of the organisation’s Board of Trustees (BOT) and the presentation of awards to individuals and organisations recognised for their contributions to youth development and community service.
Speaking at the event, the Chief Executive Officer of Fear God Production, Mr. Ayomikun Adelana, popularly known as ‘Ajurawalo’, said the initiative is aimed at empowering young people and encouraging them to acquire vocational skills.
According to him, the proposed online radio and television platform will serve as a medium for promoting skill acquisition, entrepreneurship and youth engagement.

“Our aim is to educate young people to learn and work rather than depend solely on the government. We want to empower youths who are willing to learn skills and also promote artisanship,” he said.
Adelana added that the organisation intends to use the media platform to highlight vocational training opportunities and inspire young people to plan for their future.
As part of the programme, the organisation inaugurated members of its Board of Trustees, who will provide guidance and support for its activities.
Those inaugurated include, the Chairman of the Blacksmiths, Welders, Panel-Beaters and Iron Benders Association, Prince Sunday Ogunyebi, who was named Patron; Mrs Anthonia Temitope Famuagun as Patroness; Barr. Lawrence Adetunji Fasanmi, former chairman of the Nigerian Bar Association (Ekiti State chapter), as Legal Adviser and Mr Amobi Okwuosha as Special Adviser on Training and Vocation.
The highlight of the event was the presentation of awards to several distinguished personalities and organisations for their contributions to society.
Among those recognised were the DG Bureau of Community Communications, Ekiti State, Mrs. Mary Osho-Omotosho, Special Assistant to Governor Oyebanji on Mobilization, Mr. Segun Ibironke FIBAN Chairman, Ekiti state Chapter, Chief Olorunfemi Afolabi.
Speaking during the event, the Ekiti State Chairman of the Freelance and Independent Broadcasters Association of Nigeria (FIBAN), Chief Olorunfemi Afolabi, commended the CEO of Fear God Production for the positive impact of his activities and his contributions to the association.
Afolabi noted that Adelana has continued to support the objectives of the broadcasting body while also using his platform to promote meaningful initiatives within the media and youth development space.
In a separate interview with journalists after the event, the new Patron of Fear of God Production, Prince Sunday Ogunyebi, praised Adelana for his commitment to youth development.
Ogunyebi said he has known the CEO for his efforts in encouraging young people to acquire vocational skills and become self-reliant.
“What he tells the youths is very important, he tells them if you cannot go to school, you should learn a trade and make sure you work. That is why I support his programme, and I will continue to support him,” he said.
Some of the dignitaries present at the event also expressed their support for the project, with a number of them making financial pledges towards the N10 million fundraising target.
They commended the initiative, describing it as a laudable effort that would provide a platform for youth empowerment, skill development and community engagement.
