An Address by the Chairperson of FBOMF at the FBOMF “Noble Teacher Initiative” held at teachers House, Ayedaade LG, Gbongan, OSUN State.
Distinguished teachers, ladies and gentlemen,
It is with deep honour and a profound sense of purpose that I welcome you to the FBOMF “Noble Teachers Initiative” Programme.
This programme holds special meaning for us because the Funmilayo Bamidele Oke Memorial Foundation was established in honour of a woman who was herself a teacher until her passing almost 30 years ago. Teaching was not just her profession; it was her calling, her service to humanity, and her legacy.
She believed strongly in the power of education to shape lives, instil values, and build society. Even in the face of challenges, she remained committed to nurturing young minds with patience, discipline, and compassion. Today, as we gather to celebrate teachers, we are in essence celebrating her life and the countless educators who share that same spirit of sacrifice.
This programme is one of our modest but heartfelt way of saying thank you to our teachers. While the items we present today may seem simple, the message behind them is clear and sincere: your sacrifices are recognised, your work is appreciated, and your dignity matters.
At FBOMF, we understand that teachers continue to give their best despite limited resources and demanding circumstances. We believe that honouring teachers is not an act of charity, but a moral responsibility and a vital investment in the future of our society.
On behalf of the Board, Management, and members of the Foundation, I appreciate everyone who has supported this initiative. We assure you that this programme reflects our enduring commitment to education and will continue to form part of our interventions.
Once again, we celebrate you, our teachers. We thank you for your dedication, resilience, and invaluable role in shaping generations.
Thank you, and may your efforts continue to yield lasting rewards.akajaye; St. Stephen Anglican Church Primary School, Ogbaaga; all in Ayedaade Local Government Area.
