Family in Ekiti Establishes Non Profitable Hospital in memory of Late Mother

People of Ikoro Ekiti and it’s environs,in Ijero local government area of Ekiti state will now have access to qualitative health care services as Lawal dynasty out of humanity has set up a non profitable Hospital for the benefit of the people and health care development.

Speaking on behalf of the family about the establishment of the Private Specialist Hospital- Julianah Abike Memorial Hospital, JAMSH,a medical expert Dr. Fatai Lawal said the Lawal family and children of late Abike Julianah Lawal was the brain behind the motive and the gesture is to immortalize their late Mother who died 21 years ago.

The mother according to Dr Lawal loved health care development while on earth to benefit residents of the community. “Her love and passion for humanity before leaving the living land made me to assent to her instruction for the facelift of the project.

“It’s one of a kind in Ijero local government and it’s environment producing functional health care system for all and sundry. My Mother motivation got me this while I humbly enjoined everyone in need of it any day and anytime to assess the hospital at a low cost.”

The Olukoro of Ikoro-Ekiti, Oba Dr Adebanji Adeleye, who was represented by Chief Adebomi Adeyeye, the Ominio of Ikoro Ekiti commended Dr. Fatai for establishing the hospital which he described as laudable project.

He urged residents of the community to patronize the hospital whenever they need health care system. Speaking further, the monarch prayed for the entire family of Lawal to be more successful in Life. “Your Mother will be forever remembered being a Great Nation Builder,” he added.

In his sermon titled “What will you leave behind? commemorating the 21st remembrance of the late Matriarch ,Pastor Adedayo Awopetu of the Redeemed Christian Church of God RCCG, Bethel parish, Ado-Ekiti said Living a worthy life is very important while a meaningful life is achieved when the haves put smiles on People’s Face, added an unexamined life is not worthy of living. “Giving shouldn’t be a problem to those who have chance to help leading to Greatness, he stated.

Former Commissioner of Health in Ekiti State, Dr. Femi Thomas extolled Lawal dynasty for their contribution to the community aside the hospital.

“We can’t but appreciate you for bringing this development to our community. Honouring your Mother with establishment of Hospital named after her implies you are wonderful people. We are proud of you,”

The Commissioner urged residents especially pregnant women to key into the health insurance scheme already established in the community for quality health delivery.

Other important dignitaries in attendance included Hon. Ropo Ige, former Chairman Ijero local government, community leaders and host of others.

The late Matriarch was born in the year 1952 to the family of Orogbosolaand Raymond Ajakaye of Odo-Ogede Quarters, Ikoro-Ekiti, she did not proceed further in Education due to financial constraint but loved development and giving the needy to improve humanity.

Official commissioning of the hospital which came up on Saturday 8th April at the community, Ikoro Ekiti was done by the monarch of the Community ,Dr. Adebanji Adeleye Olukoro of Ikoro-Ekiti with Free Medical Consultations and Treatments cum 2- day Free Surgery for people of the community.
