Expect Swift Impacts, Camp Development – New Elemure of Emure Assures NYSC Ekiti

The newly installed Elemure of Emure Ekiti, His Royal Majesty Oba James Babatunde Ajiboye, has pledged his full support to the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) in Ekiti State, promising swift interventions aimed at upgrading the NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp in Emure to a standard worthy of emulation.

Receiving the NYSC State Coordinator, Alhaji Riko Abdullahi, and his entourage during a courtesy visit to his palace, Oba Ajiboye assured that he would engage relevant stakeholders to ensure the scheme in Ekiti enjoys robust backing under his reign.

The State Coordinator, accompanied by senior officials, paid the visit to formally felicitate with the monarch following his ascension to the throne after the passing of the former Elemure. He pledged the scheme’s cooperation with the royal administration, noting that the orientation camp is an integral part of the monarch’s domain.

During the meeting, Alhaji Abdullahi highlighted some of the pressing challenges confronting the Emure camp and appealed for urgent intervention from the traditional council to make the facility more conducive for corps members year after year.

In response, Oba Ajiboye expressed gratitude for the NYSC’s visit and reiterated his commitment to the development of Emure. He further revealed plans to embark on a landmark project within the camp that will bear his name—an initiative he described as a long-cherished aspiration to make lasting contributions to society.

The State Coordinator’s delegation included the Assistant Director, Human Resource Management; High Chief Medayese; the Head of Guidance and Counselling; the NYSC Public Relations Officer; the Emure Local Government Inspector; and corps members serving in the area.
