The entire people and staff of Isokan LCDA could not hide their joy as the long-awaited foundation laying of their ultra modern secretariat took place on Thursday.
The Chairman of the Local Government Development Area Hon. George Olumide Fadipe noted that the journey had been tortuous and has posed a lot of difficulties before the final conclusion of a suitable place.
He therefore gave gratitude to the Olufaki -in – council that took the challenge upon them to ensure another place was allocated for the LCDA after the unfavorable report of the geophysical survey of the previous ones.
He expressed his appreciation to the Governor, His Excellency Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji for his magnanimous attitude in granting the LCDA freedom to operate without hindrance by giving them many intervention funds without which the occasion would not have been possible.
The chairman then highlighted various projects ongoing in the various community of the LCDA, to include, construction of the Borehole at Ifisin,conversion/Rehabilitation/Reconstruction of open market stalls to lock up shops at Oke Ora, Provision of hand pump wells at Odo Ora, Ifisin, Ifaki, Igbole Ekiti, grading of roads in Ifaki and Orin, extension of street light at Aaye Ekiti, Reticulation of water to Ilogun Ekiti,Rehabilitation/Provision of Solar powered Electricity at Orin and Ifisin Ekiti and growing of 3000 palm seedlings for farmers.
In his remark, Senator Representing Ekiti North Senatorial District, Cyril Fasuyi encouraged and charged the chairman to ensure the use of standard materials for the project.
Also Speaking, the Olufaki of Ifaki Ekiti Oba Adegbenro Falore commended the chairman for the initiative urging him to do more.
The monarch placed the foundation stone for the project with the support of Rev. Father Bankole Anthony, representative of APC alongside the council chairman.
Present at the occasion were Executive Secretary Yinka Borisade representing the permanent secretary Local service commission, the Executive Secretary Mrs Toba Ojo and the local government inspector Ade Ojo. The past and present chairmen of Ido Osi local government, The Royal fathers of the Eight community were not left out, and the entire workforce of Isokan LCDA both political and career officers were also present.
