People of Irewolede Local Council Development Area, LCDA consisting of Ayegunle, Ijurin, Iroko, Temidire, Iloro and Oke-Oro could not hide their joy as the wife of Ekiti State Governor, Dr. Olayemi Oyebanji officially unveiled some of the projects embarked upon by the chairperson of the LCDA, Mrs. Modupe Bakare.
The people in their high spirit, rolled out drums and jubilated as the various projects were inaugurated for use.
Among the projects are lock up shops in Iloro, 16 electricity poles in Ijurin, open market stalls in Temidire and renovation of police post in Ayegunle-Ekiti, among others.
Speaking on the occassion, Dr Olayemi Oyebanji expressed delight over the various successes recorded by Local Council Development Areas, LCDAs in Ekiti State.
Dr Oyebanji said though, LCDAs in Ekiti State have unveiled series of projects such as office space, markets, schools just to mention but a few, she is impressed by the developmental projects recorded by Irewolede LCDA under the leadership of Mrs. Module Bakare.
Dr Oyebanji expressed optimism that the projects Inaugurated in Irewolede LCDA were of good standard adding that it would boost the socio-economic activities of the area and create opportunities for future generations
While commending the Irewolede Chairperson for a job welldone, Dr. Oyebanji advised residents of the communities where the projects were located to take ownership by embracing good maintenance culture.
In a remark, the Chairperson, Irewolede Local Council Development Area Iloro-Ekiti, Mrs Modupe Bakare pointed out that her administration had been prudent with meagre resources available with a promise to continue to extend dividends of democracy to her people.
The Irewolede LCDA Chairperson appreciated Ekiti state Governor, Mr Biodun Oyebanji for his commitment to the growth of LCDAs and his determination to boost the economy of the state
In a remark, the Oluloro of Iloro-Ekiti, Oba James Olugbesoye commended the LCDA Chairperson for the various projects she embarked upon, praying God to reward her.
