EXCITEMENT AS HON. OGUNLADE GIVES BACK TO CONSTITUENTS IN UNIQUE STYLE

…seek support for Oyebanji’s re-election

The lawmaker representing Emure Constituency in the Ekiti State House of Assembly, Hon.Alhaja Maryam Ogunlade has reaffirmed her commitment to the welfare of the people of Emure Constituency.

Hon Ogunlade gave the assurance at Emure Ekiti during her fifth Constituency Engagement and Town hall meeting held with the members of the All Progressive Congress party and relevant stakeholders in ten Wards in the Local Government.

Reflecting on her political journey, the former Commissioner for Women’s Affairs and Chairman House Committee on Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs thanked the people of Emure Constituency for reposing their trust in her even before she became the representative of the Constituents in the State House of Assembly, adding that she would always cherish their unwavering support and cooperation, which have been a source of inspiration to her political trajectory.

Hon Alhaja Ogunlade stressed her commitment to the welfare of the people in the area, she said there was nothing too much for her to reciprocate what the people did for her “because to whom much is given, much is also expected, today’s event marks the fifth of its kind within two years, we held two in 2023 and three in 2024.

The lawmaker emphasized the purpose of the Constituency engagement by the current House of Assembly, as a platform for the lawmakers to keep in touch with their people, to give back to the society and to complement Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji’s Shared Prosperity agenda.

Hon. Ogunlade reiterated the need for the people in the area to support Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji's re-election in 2026, so that the ongoing developmental strides of the administration in the areas of infrastructure development, good roads network, Women and Widows empowerment, youth development and consideration for the vulnerable and people with disabilities would not become moribund.

Hon Ogunlade delivered dividends of democracy to the people by giving out essential items such as Bags of rice, Vegetable oil, Salt, Grinding Machines, Cloths, and Cash gifts to various groups in the Constituent.

Responding to the gesture, some of the beneficiaries, prominent among them were former Chairman Emure Local Government All Progressive Congress party, Chief Ayo Famojuro Ewenla, lauded the initiative of Hon. Ogunlade as a testament to her dedication and commitment to serve humanity in the constituent and a way of ensuring that the basic needs of the residents are met.

Chief Ewenla also thanked Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji for his people-oriented programs and described him as a servant leader urging the people in Emure to support the Governor till 2030.

Other beneficiaries includes the ten Ward Chairmen, Women leaders, Youth leaders, Okada Riders, Members of the National Union of Roads Transports Workers, Road Transport Employees of Nigeria, Farmers and representatives of various groups, the Chairman Okada Rider Ajayi Muyiwa, Mrs Deborah Olofin and Alhaja Risikat Ibitayo expressed their gratitude to Hon. Ogunlade for her kindness and commitment to the need of the people in the Constituents.

In another development, the issue of Electricity outage in the area was one of the major discussions, erratic power supply and power outage in Ise/ Emure axis, which was caused by some miscreants who carted away the Transformer cables, it was resolved that stringent security measure should be adopted in the area to curb the menace of the hoodlums.
