It was a moment of joy and celebration as Governorship candidate of the African Democratic Party in the last gubernatorial election in Ekiti State, Erelu Kemi Elebute-Halle distributed over 150 bags of rice to various groups across the 16 Local Government Areas of Ekiti State.
The beneficiaries who could not hide their feelings showered encomium on the APC leaders noting that the gesture was a succor considering the current economic reality.
Addressing the beneficiaries, Erelu Elebute-Halle noted that the initiative was aimed at supporting the administration of the Ekiti State Governor, Biodun Oyebanji, in cushioning the effect of the economy downturn, while also assuring that the current economic hardship will soon be over.
The All progressive congress stalwart spoke when she hosted leaders of various groups at her residence in Ado Ekiti.
Speaking On behalf of the groups, Ade Adetunji, praised elebute-Halle for her longstanding commitment to providing palliatives and affirmed their continuous support for her efforts.
Others who spoke to newsmen, Oseni Olayinka, and Olufemi Egbololaye, assured that the palliatives would reach the intended recipients.
