Mohamed Salah’s spectacular performance led to a memorable 6-3 thumping of Tottenham on Sunday, giving Liverpool a four-point lead at the top of the Premier League. Arne Slot’s team dominated in north London thanks to a brilliant performance from Salah, who scored two goals and provided two assists. Liverpool solidified their position as the clear favorites for the title going into the Christmas season by taking advantage of Chelsea’s 0-0 draw with Everton earlier in the day.

With Egypt’s star Salah at the center of their deadly attack, Liverpool’s brilliant pressing, superb passing, and movement were too strong for Tottenham to match. Salah is the only player in the Premier League to have scored 15 goals and provided 11 assists so far this season.

Under Slot, the Reds have won 21 of their last 25 games across all competitions, and they still have a game left to play Chelsea to increase their lead in the race for the championship.

With goals from Luis Diaz and Alexis Mac Allister to put Liverpool in control, this was an incredible demonstration of their firepower. Just before halftime, Dominik Szoboszlai gave Liverpool their third goal, and Salah took control after the interval before Diaz scored once more.

Tottenham lost by five goals or more at home in a Premier League match for the first time in ten years, as a result of Ange Postecoglou’s insistence on maintaining his high defensive line. As pressure builds on Postecoglou, Tottenham is mired in 11th place after suffering their eighth league loss this season.
