Arsenal’s thrilling comeback victory over Tottenham 2-1 in Wednesday’s north London derby rekindled their Premier League title challenge.

Son Heung-min’s early opener at the Emirates Stadium stunned Mikel Arteta’s team. However, Leandro Trossard’s goal shortly before halftime and Dominic Solanke’s own goal gave them the opportunity to boast about their fierce rivals.

Arsenal moved within four points of leaders Liverpool, who were held to a 1-1 draw by Nottingham Forest on Tuesday, after their first victory in four games across all competitions.

Liverpool is still the clear favorite to win the championship, but the Gunners are at least putting some pressure on Arne Slot’s team. Arsenal’s record against Tottenham in the league is now seven wins and one draw.

The first goal came in the 25th minute as Tottenham responded with a surge of pressure. However, Arteta’s team regained their poise and regained control in a contentious manner prior to halftime. Replays revealed that the corner they won in the 40th minute should have been a goal kick because it bounced off Trossard and was fully capitalized on.

Kinsky misjudged Declan Rice’s delivery, and Gabriel’s header back into the six-yard box entered after a heavy deflection off the unfortunate Solanke.
