There is no doubt that the purpose for the creation of Local Council Development Areas in Ekiti State has been justified.
This followed the outstanding performances and Laudable achievements of some of the chairmen of the LCDAs.
Ado Central Local Council Development Area is not an exception with the various policies and programmes introduced by its Chairman, Toyin Ojo within his one year in office.
At a ceremony to celebrate the one year anniversary of the chairman, Governor of Ekiti State, Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji, APC chieftains, stakeholders and residents showered encomium on the LCDA chairman particularly for the various projects inaugurated to mark his first anniversary.
Represented by the Secretary to the State Government, Dr Habibat Adubiaro, Governor Oyebanji congratulated the Chairman and his team for the laudable achievements, urging other chairmen to emulate such.
In their goodwill messages, former Deputy Governor of the state, Chief Bisi Egbeyemi, Chairman Ado North LCDA, Yomi Osho, and representative of Ewi in Council commended the council boss on how he had transformed the LCDA, saying he had performed beyond expectations.
Earlier, the LCDA chairman, Mr Ojo said he put in place a lot of projects within his one year in office to ameliorate the suffering of people of the area and staff of the council.
The council boss explained that he had secured office for staff, political appointees in the council, provision of boreholes for residents, grading of inter township roads, fencing of the LCDA and construction of lock up shops.
He also said that he had rehabilitated health centre in the area, provision of borehole in the market and installation of solar power in the Ado Central LCDA with a promise to do more developmental projects in his next one year in office.
Ojo, who appreciated Governor Biodun Oyebanji for making all the achievements possible urged residents of Ado central LCDA to help the council through payment of their tax and other rates in order for them to enjoy more dividends of good governance in Ekiti.
The Ado central LCDA Chairman used the forum to appeal to residents of Ekiti State to vote for APC presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, Vice Presidential candidate, Kashim Shettima and other candidates on the platform of APC in next month’s election.
At the programme, some prominent people were presented with Award of excellence due to their contributions to societal development including, Tayo Aduloju, Chief Julius Ajayi known as little by little, Senator Opeyemi Bamidele, Prince Adetola Ademola while some streets were named after some illustrious Sons and Daughters the council.
