Empower Amotekun Corps…Olu of Lisa Kingdom Urges Government

Condemns poor state of roads in Ogun State

The Olu of Lisa Kingdom in Ifo Local Government Area of Ogun State, Oba Najeemdeen Ayinla Odugbemi has called on the Federal and State Governments to empower the Western Nigeria Security Network, code named Amotekun with modern technological facilities that can enhance her operations particularly in the fight against insecurity.

Oba Odugbemi made the call while receiving an Award of Ambassador of Security, presented to him by the Amotekun Corps, Ifo Local Government.

According to the corps, the award was in recognition of the monarch over his support for the various security agencies in the area, thus enhancing their capacity to fight crime.

Responding, the monarch noted that the Amotekun Corps has the capacity to end insecurity in the southwest if well empowered.

Oba Odugbemi however expressed concern over the lack of social amenities and necessary infrastructure in the town and by extension the Info Local government.

This development according to him had retarded  the economic  growth of the town and subjected residents to untold hardship.

Lisa became popular and known globally in 2005 after a plane crashed in the town killing 117 persons but the state of the community at the moment is nothing to write home about due to poor presence of government.
