…as chairman, Com Olatunde Kolapo commends Governor Oyebanji’s welfare packages
The Nigeria Labour Congress NLC, Ekiti State has joined other Nigerians to rejoice with Muslims faithful across the sixteen Local Governments of the State on the celebration of this Year eld-el-kabir.
In a statement in Ado Ekiti, the NLC Chairman, Comrade Kolapo Olatunde appreciated Allah on behalf of the Muslims especially those who are workers for witnessing the celebration in good and sound health, urging them to remember the poor and needy without minding the economic situation.
Comrade Olatunde also used the opportunity to appreciate Ekiti State Governor, Mr Biodun Oyebanji, his wife, the Deputy Governor and those working with the governor for extending hands of love to Muslims through donation of rams and rice as well as ensuring payment of june salary to enable workers to enjoy the celebration.
Comrade Olatunde urged the celebrants to reflect on and imbibe the essence of sacrifice and humility lessons therein for the promotion of the harmonious relationship in the country, saying the congress would not relent in ensuring that workers were treated well.
The Ekiti NLC Chairman used the opportunity to call on Governor Oyebanji to continue to give preference to the needs of workers and pensioners as well and defray the remaining outstanding salaries at the local government and subvented institutions.
