EKSUTH:NURSES ASSOCIATION URGES MEMBERS TO RETURN TO WORK, BEGINS NEGOTIATION WITH MANAGEMENT

The National Association of Nigeria Nurses and Midwives, Ekiti State University Teaching Hospital, Ado Ekiti, EKSUTH Chapter, has appealed to nurses in the hospital to return to work with a promise that the association will continue to fight for their rights without compromise.

The nurses had down tools following a directive by their leaders in protest to the alleged attack on Nurses, Doctors and other health workers by suspected hoodlums.

However, after an intervention by the Labour Force in Ekiti State and Government, the strike was called off.

In a statement on Wednesday, the Chairperson of the association, Comrade Comfort Monde sympathized with nurses involved in the ugly incident, saying the association was already making necessary moves to forestall such situations in future.

Comrade Monde called on management of the hospital to come up with a better security system that would guide against such situation in future.
