The leadership of the National Association of Nigeria Nurses and Midwives, Ekiti State University Teaching Hospital, Ado Ekiti Chapter has expressed shock over the death of a former Chairman Medical Advisory Committee of the hospital, Professor Kayode Ajite.
Kayode Ajite died on Wednesday during a brief illness.
In a statement in Ado Ekiti, chairperson of the National Association of Nigeria Nurses and Midwives, Ekiti State University Teaching Hospital, Ado Ekiti Chapter, Nurse Monde described the deceased as perfect gentleman, hardworking, unassuming and diligent.
Comrade Monde noted that Professor Ajite was a team player who will never look down on any staff irrespective of status.
She said:” I couldn’t believe when I heard the news, this man was very full of life the last time we saw, he never wore any sign of sickness.
“I am deeply pained by his death but we just have to take solace in God who is the giver of life.
“May the Lord comfort his family members and grant them the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
Monde noted that Kayode Ajite would be greatly missed.
