The Management of Ekiti State University Teaching Hospital, EKSUTH, Ado-Ekiti, has denied allegations of unpaid entitlements and poor staff welfare levelled against it by the Medical and Health Workers Union of Nigeria, MHWUN, EKSUTH chapter.
The Chief Medical Director, Prof. Kayode Olabanji, said there was “no iota of truth” in the claims. He stated that from January 2024 to August 2026, every member of staff has been paid in full and as at when due.
Addressing other issues raised, Prof. Olabanji said staff promotion has been conducted regularly and that the 2026 promotion exercise has been concluded and implemented. He added that despite the new tax regime, no worker experienced a reduction in take-home pay.
The CMD further commended Governor Biodun Oyebanji for increased subventions to the hospital, noting that all funds received have been disbursed without delay. He described most of the other allegations as unfounded.
Prof. Olabanji assured that staff welfare remains a top priority of the management, adding that with full salary payment, other benefits have also been included for workers.
