…seeks more welfare packages
The Ekiti State University Teaching Hospital, EKSUTH, Inter-Allied Forum has said that the increment of subvention by Governor Biodun Oyebanji will reduce brain drain and improve service delivery in the Facility.
This and others are the submission of Members of the EKSUTH Inter-Allied Forum Comprising all the in-house Unions in the Teaching Hospital while speaking with Radio Nigeria correspondent.
President of EKSUTH Resident Doctors, Dr Famous Adeyemi explained that the increment in the subvention would also boost the moral and spur staff to do their work as expected.
He called on Governor Oyebanji to provide more structures and other necessary facilities that would enhance service delivery in the Teaching Hospital.
Also, Chairman of National Association of Nurses and Midwives, Mrs Comfort Monde commended Governor Oyebanji for thinking in such direction and called for a legislation to increase the subvention at appropriate time.
On her own, Chairman, Medical and Health Workers, Mrs Oluwatimileyin Kumuyi advocated increase in the budget of the health sector to serve residents of the state.
The Chairman Senior Staff Association, Mr Thony Arigbede promised that staff of the hospital would justify the increment and sought for more robust welfare packages from the government.
