EKSU GETS NOD TO OFFER BMLS

Ekiti State University, Ado Ekiti has obtained approval of the Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria to run the Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Science (BMLS) programme in the university.

The Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria in a letter dated 8th July, 2024 and addressed to the Vice Chancellor, conveyed the Council’s approval for the university for an initial two years period, with an intake of 50 students per session.

The Council, which is a professional body, is the National Medical Laboratory Services Accreditation Agency.

The letter was signed by the Registrar and Chief Executive Officer of the Council, Professor Tosan Erhabor.

The University community received the news with admiration, while the Vice Chancellor, Professor Edward Olanipekun has been commended for improving the academic standard of the ivory tower since his assumption of office.
