EKITI WOMEN GROUP DECLARES SUPPORT FOR DELE PHILIPS

A socio-cultural organization in Ekiti State, Women Advocacy Network has joined voices in drumming Support For the leading contestant for the Central Federal Constituency 2 Seat in the state, Mr. Dele Philips.

Arising from its monthly meeting in Ado-Ekiti the state capital, the network hinged their decision on the antecedents of the international business mogul and his impact on both individuals, families as well as communities.

The leader of the group Chief (Mrs.) Funmilayo Adekunle who spoke with newsmen after the meeting said she was privileged to be part of the selection process of ninety-nine women in the Central Federal Constituency 2 for empowerment programme carried by Dele Philips Foundation in the 33 wards in Ekiti West, Efon and Ijero Local Government Areas.

Chief Mrs. Adekunle explained that many of the women had been hoping to benefit from such gesture but were favoured by Dele Philips Foundation.

She therefore urged delegates in the constituency to consider the implications of their actions at the primary elections on the generality of the people.

In the same vein, some of the 99 beneficiaries of the empowerment Dele Phillips Foundation in the 33 wards who were incidentally at the meeting analysed how the Intervention had assisted their small scale businesses.

According to a septugenarian, Alhaja Muibat Ogunleye, Mr. Dele Philips had not only touched women as school children are being sponsored in public and primary schools across the constituency.

Reacting to this development, the frontline aspirant, Mr. Dele Philips said all the interventions being carried out by his foundation would be a continuous exercise while it would even be upgraded for a larger percentage of constituents

The international player in hospitality industry as well as real estate assured that plans have been put in place for a robust and reliable representation that would impart positively on the lives of the people and the communities.
