Ekiti State Polytechnic Seeks Increase in Monthly Subvention

…matriculates students admitted for the 2021/2022 academic session

The Management of Ekiti State Polytechnic Isan Ekiti says the institution has started attracting support from the Tertiary Education Trust Fund, TETFUND to ensure speedy infrastructural development.

The Rector of the Polytechnic, Professor Johnson Adesodun stated this during the matriculation for students admitted for the 2021/2022 academic session held at the campus, Isan-Ekiti.

Professor Adesodun said the fund received from TETFUND would be judiciously utilized to make the institution conducive for academic activities.

While commending Ekiti State Governor, Dr. Kayode Fayemi for his support, the Rector called on the state government to increase the monthly subvention to the institution in order to recruit more academic and non-academic staff to meet the accreditation of NBTE.

The Rector of Ekiti Polytechnic Isan pointed out that the management would be transparent, effective, accountable and innovative.

He advised the matriculating students not to engage in nefarious activities which could distract them, but face their academy.

Professor Adesodun said the students would be trained in a way they would be able to contribute to national development.

The Coordinator of JAMB in Ekiti State, Alhaji Abdulhameed Akeem said the institution had witnessed more development since it’s establishment two years ago.

In separate interviews, some of the Matriculants including Oyeyemi Imisioluwa, Olaleye Toluwalope and Akpa Victor expressed happiness for gaining admission into the polytechnic, promising to follow the laid down rules.

A total of fifty seven students were matriculated to pursue various courses in Accountancy,  Computer Science, Electronic Engineering and Agricultural Technology.
