Members of the Ekiti State Sports Stakeholders have commended Governor Biodun Oyebanji for his commitment to the development of sports in the state.
In a statement in Ado-Ekiti, leader of the Sports Stakeholders, High Chief, Olu Oloworemo particularly appreciated the Governor for ensuring that sport at the grassroots was prioritized.
According to High Chief Oloworemo, Mr. Oyebanji is the first Governor to recognise Sports Stakeholders and reaching out to them during festivity.
He also thanked the Governor for the gifts he gave them during the last Christmas celebration, describing such as a good development and first of its kind.
The leader of Ekiti State Sports Stakeholders noted that Governor Oyebanji had a lot of programmes and policies that favour sports in the state.
He expressed optimism that with Mr. Oyebanji at the helms of affairs of the state, Ekiti will record more success in various sport competitions.
The Leader of the Sports Stakeholders however urged the Governor not to relent in his efforts at making the sport sector rank among the best in the country.
Mr. Olu Oloworemo also appealed to members of the group to cooperate with Governor Oyebanji by offering useful advised that could contribute to the growth of sports in the state.
